GCI Health is looking for an Account Director for our New York office. This person should have a solid Healthcare PR agency or Healthcare PR client background (at least 6+ years) with strong experience in high science campaigns. They would be supporting one of our premier Pharmaceutical clients with a major upcoming milestone in their disease area with interesting stories to be told. This role would be great for someone interested in working on cutting-edge medicine with a client who is really positive, savvy, and appreciative. The ideal person would understand data and science while being both detail oriented and a strong writer.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients in a valuable and effective way – Demonstrate expertise in working with the news media – Continually bring fresh, creative thinking to your account
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of client budgets and budget tracking, billability and how a client service business works
  • Contribute to new business efforts – Display excellent writing skills for all types of correspondence
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage teams to successful, timely completion of specific projects
  • Contribute to the company’s success through marketing efforts and engaging in the GCI Health community

Qualifications:

  • At least 6+ years of experience at a Public Relations agency or client side – Healthcare PR experience
  • Understanding of the changing digital landscape
  • Developed written materials that are organized, professional and concise
  • Managed multiple projects simultaneously
  • Worked under deadline pressure
  • Proficiency in using computer and standard office applications
