THE ROLE

Our Financial + Professional Services sector is a hard driving and fast growing team within the agency working predominantly with the world’s biggest and most famous FS brands. We have a great opportunity for an Insights Manager to join the team, to generate penetrating analysis at all stages of the communications process. With a broad remit encompassing, idea generation through to measurement and performance evaluation, this is a stimulating and challenging role.

The ideal candidate will be incessantly inquisitive and intellectually flexible, take a deep interest in the financial services industry and also the broader cultural, technological, economic and political trends. They will be a confident communicator presenting in person, as well as producing high quality visual and written material.

Using a variety of research methods and data sources, the Insights Manager will generate the insights that we believe are the foundation of great campaigns for both new and existing clients. They will be responsible for communicating these insights to other team members and clients, translating potentially complex issues into clear and actionable insights. You will be involved in turning these insights into a robust content strategy to reach our clients’ target audiences in the most effective way, across all channels – paid, shared, earned and owned.

The successful candidate will be integrally involved in the creation of quantitative and qualitative content for a variety of clients. Often this will involve leading on sizeable research projects, from devising appropriate research strategies, through to analyzing findings using statistical methods. They will be confident in presenting this information in a way that is accurate, yet also rich and engaging.

Finally, they will use data to measure and optimise campaigns and messaging, working closely with other specialists within the team and across the agency. We are keen to see experience using social media monitoring tools, web analytics tools or other relevant platforms, along with a deep passion for and knowledge of mobile, web, social media marketing and analytics.

Clients within the team include HSBC, BNY, eToro, Visa, pladis and Hymans Robertson.


RESPONSIBILITIES + ATTRIBUTES

  • Established researcher with experience of working in communications or associated disciplines
  • Proven portfolio of developing insights for winning new business including developing effective content and messaging strategies
  • Ability to develop and apply the right solutions to new and diverse communications challenges
  • Client-facing account management experience for content strategy
  • Strong visual presentation skills, especially PowerPoint
  • Ability to explain technical issues with clarity
  • Experience using social and digital media, especially social media monitoring tools, web analytic tools and other relevant platforms
  • Experience managing and implementing research strategies, including rigorous statistical analysis using e.g. Excel
  • Ability to range across disciplines and topics, keeping track of trends, technologies and new developments
  • Aiding and training other team members in technical skills
