Senior Account Manager - WCG

The Senior Account Manager (Account Supervisor) in the healthcare practice has primary responsibility for marketing/advertising account management activities across 3-4 WCG accounts, with support from multi-disciplinary teams and senior levels of management. S/he has a strong, demonstrated capability in relationship and project management, and a passion for healthcare and integrated marketing communications with a strong working knowledge of the digital marketing environment.  S/he helps to build the company’s healthcare practice via engagement in new business development, client and account management, and the creation and implementation of annual marketing and advertising plans. S/he also may supervise interns and associates/managers. 


  • Day-to-day account lead responsible for exceptional client service and account management activities for 3-4 accounts
  • In collaboration with account team and project management staff, drive flawless and timely project execution and high-touch client communications
  • Participates in development of clients’ marketing strategies and tactics; collaborates with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure consensus around tactics’ scope and approach
  • Becomes an expert in all aspects of the clients’ business, including any legal review processes
  • Partners with functional area-experts within the agency in support of integrated marketing campaigns and supplying POVs to the client
  • Develops creative briefs, client presentations, Scope of Work / Change Order documents, and other internal/external communications
  • Runs/sets meetings, provides agendas and contact reports
  • Ensures client feedback is gathered, understood and addressed as appropriate across deliverables
  • Accountable for clients’ total budget and assists in establishing revenue forecasts to ensure that financial goals are met
  • Participates in new business presentation opportunities
  • Provides mentorship to junior staff


  • Must have at least 5 years product marketing and/or advertising/communications experience ; pharmaceutical/healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience in executing/planning a variety of digital, social media and offline marketing tactics
  • Highly organized, mindful of deadlines, able to multi-task and work under limited supervision with high attention to detail
  • Professional presence, performs with a sense of urgency and with a profound client service orientation
  • Able to devise and articulate solutions to problems on an ongoing basis
  • Independent thinker, yet team player who enjoys and fosters collaboration within a matrixed environment
  • Excellent business communication ability including informal/formal presentation and writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • High energy, able to effectively operate in fast-paced, growing and evolving environment
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, with a track record of following through on client requests and with high-quality deliverables on schedule and on budget
  • BA or equivalent required
