NEW YORK—Fast-growing New York boutique 5W Public Relations has hired Jerry Cahn to serve as chief operating officer and director of investor relations, and promoted Adam Handelsman to general manager and senior vice president.
From 2000 to 2004, Cahn served as principal of PortfolioPR, an integrated IR and PR agency, serving clients including RiT, Curtiss-Wright, On-Track Innovations, SPO Medical, and McGraw-Hill Construction. He is also CEO of Presentation Excellence, a resource center for executives. Handelsman will oversee the firm’s day-to-day management and continue to oversee the firm’s corporate, and technology divisions of the agency.
In addition, Jennifer Newman joins 5W as vice president of consumer after four years of running her own firm, Jenben Communications, where she represented clients including TOMY Corporation, Iventa Corporation, Play Along Toys, GC Toys, Toys “R” Us Racing, NASCAR, Team Edge (Taiyo Edge), and Hollywood Connection.
