LONDON—Fast-growing New York-based agency 5W Public Relations is expanding into the global marketplace, opening an office in London, focusing initially on corporate, technology, medical devices/healthcare, gaming and public affairs clients in Europe. It also announced the creation of its first wholly owned national office outside the U.S., 5W Israel, with offices in the Tel Aviv area.

Charley Levine has been hired to serve as managing director of both 5W Israel and 5W international operations. Levine managed his own company, CLC, for 16 years, before helping create and serving as CEO of Ruder Finn Israel since 1997. He has worked for clients including General Electric, Bank of America, Al Gore, Ehud Olmert, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Israel Aircraft Industries, Johnson & Johnson, GivenImaging and Pfizer.

“This is the next strategic expansion for us after successfully opening our branch in Los Angeles in 2005,” says Ronn Torossian, president & CEO of 5W. “I take special pride and enthusiasm in the establishment of 5W Israel which is incredibly opening its doors not as a newcomer but rather as a seasoned, top tier firm thanks to Charley Levine whom we have secured to manage the firm. I’ve known Charley for nearly a decade and am thrilled he will be spearheading our international expansion.”
