DENVER—Linhart McClain Finlon Public Relations has hired corporate communications veteran Paul Raab, most recently director of communications at the Chicago headquarters of global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney, as a senior vice president. Raab spent seven years at Kearney, most recently leading the communications strategy behind the firm’s successful management buy-out.
Before joining A.T. Kearney, Raab spent 11 years at Chicago-based GolinHarris International, where his responsibilities included serving as senior vice president and account director for McDonald’s, the firm’s most high-profile account.
Raab’s responsibilities at LMF will include client service, senior counsel and staff development across the firm’s portfolio of accounts, with a primary focus on corporate and business-to-business clients.
Says Raab, “Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many of the largest global PR firms, as a colleague, client and competitor. While I respect their capabilities, I believe independent, entrepreneurial firms such as Linhart McClain Finlon represent great platforms for client service and innovation. A firm such as LFM can be less bureaucratic, more nimble, more committed and can offer clients better value, because we’re not carrying a big cost structure on our back or trying to satisfy corporate accountants at a distant headquarters.”
Linhart, meanwhile, believes the firm’s location in the Rocky Mountain region is a competitive advantage when it comes to attracting senior talent. “Because we happen to be based in one of the country’s best places to live, our strategy is to be a magnet for talented people who come for the lifestyle and stay for the career challenge, professional growth and rewards you can enjoy in a growing, entrepreneurial firm like ours,” she says.
