ZURICH—ABB has named Clarissa Haller head of group corporate communications. Most recently she was head of communications and a member of the divisional executive committee of the diagnostics division of F.Hoffmann-La Roche based in Basel. Previously, she held senior positions in corporate communications with both DaimlerChrysler Aerospace in Munich for eight years and for six years with Bahlsen KG in Hannover.
According to ABB president and CEO Fred Kindle said: “We are looking forward to working with Clarissa to develop and promote ABB’s strong brand worldwide.” ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve performance while lowering environmental impact. The ABB group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 107,000 people.
Haller succeeds Bjorn Edlund who accepted a position with Royal Dutch Shell in September of 2005.
