NEW YORK—Abelson Group, a communications and marketing firm specializing in the technology and telecommunications industries, has launched a new broadcast media practice. Headed by industry veteran John Angelo, the practice will focus on the coordination of radio and television interviews for industry experts, personalities and celebrities.

Harry Medved, author of the award-winning book Hollywood Escapes, has signed on as the first client of the new practice.

Angelo joined Abelson earlier this year following a stint at AOL where he specialized in coordinating broadcast interviews for various celebrities and personalities including Matthew McConaughey, Ashton Kutcher, Tara Reid, Robin Leach and Mr. Moviefone. The start of the new broadcast media practice coincides with Abelson’s launch of its DigitalEdge division, which designs and executes multi-faceted communications campaigns for companies in the digital entertainment, consumer technology, lifestyle and new media segments.
