The new accounts include USuggest.com, MediaReady, ZoneChefs, Dr. Benjamin Watts, U.S. Sustainable Energy, Robert Hoffer (CEO of NewForth Investment Bank), Robin Wilson Home, Royal Dollar Records, and RazorPoint Security Technologies.

SAN FRANCISCO—Consumer public relations agency Landis Communications has added five new clients: shopping site Become.com; a statewide program to stem the use of methamphetamines throughout California, administered by The Partnership for a Drug-Free America; San Francisco Ballet, to promote the 75th anniversary of the country’s oldest continuing professional ballet company; Save-the-Redwoods League, an organization dedicated to saving the redwoods;  and  ING Bay to Breakers, one of the world’s largest footraces.

NEW YORK—JB Cumberland Public Relations has been selected to spearhead the nationwide brand campaign for The Wine Enthusiast Companies, which is comprised of several independent wine businesses. The firm will develop and implement a public relations campaign to increase brand awareness for The Wine Enthusiast Companies by creating individual programs for each of The Wine Enthusiast vehicles.

CHICAGO—Zapwater Communications has been retained by Chicago’s House of Blues Hotel to handle media and community relations as well as coordinate events for the hotel, whose management has been transferred to Gemstone Resorts International. The hotel will undergo renovation in 2007, including a new lobby, bar and room designs. 

THOUSAND OAKS, CA—The David James Agency has added Sabeus, which develops fiber-optic sensing solutions for applications in defense, security, and oil and gas operations, to its client roster. DJA will provide media and public relations support to Sabeus as it launches future sensing products and works
to establish a greater presence in the market.

NEW YORK—Mouth Public Relations has signed Halo Purely for Pets, a holistic pet care company. Mouth will also promote Halo’s founder and director, Andi Brown, who will be publicizing her company’s products along with her book, The Whole Pet Diet.

ATLANTA—Carabiner Communications, which serves start-up and fast-growth technology companies, has added three new clients to its roster. Texas-based GTESS, Georgia-based Jacket Micro Devices and Maryland-based Message Systems have all selected Carabiner to lead their public relations initiatives.

MARLBORO, MA—Thought For Food, a communications boutique specializing in the food industry, has been retained for public relations services by Bakery On Main. Thought For Food will be responsible for launching the company’s line of Ultra Premium Granola and its Gluten Free Granola.

TROY, MI—John Bailey & Associates has added clients including DuPont Automotive, Spalding DeDecker Associates and SoftTech Solutions.
