SAN FRANCISCO—Taleo a leader in on-demand talent management software solutions, has named Weber Shandwick its public relations agency of record. Weber Shandwick will provide media relations, communications support and overall strategic counsel. According to Didi D’Errico, vice president of corporate communications at Taleo: “With Weber Shandwick's resources, media expertise and industry knowledge, this partnership will help us to demonstrate the importance of unified talent management solutions, particularly in this economy, where businesses are working to better assess and engage their most valuable—and often most expensive—assets, their employees.”


WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Biotechnology Institute, a national organization dedicated to biotechnology education, has hired Environics Communications to promote the 2009 sanofi-aventis International BioGENEius Challenge, a competition recognizes high school students in the United States, Canada and Western Australia who demonstrate an exemplary understanding of biotechnology through science research projects. Environics was retained to conduct media relations for several regional competitions as well as for the final competition, which takes place at the Biotechnology Industry Organization's (BIO) 2009 International Convention in Atlanta this May.

ATLANTA—Arketi Group, a high-tech business-to-business public relations and marketing firm, has been selected by Reveille Software as the company's agency of record. The firm's first assignment was to build a go-to-market plan for a new product initiative, develop strategic positioning and enhance its brand identity. Moving forward, Arketi will also provide ongoing public relations and thought leadership counsel.
