New business successes for Edelman, Lewis PR, The David James Agency and Fetching Communications.

DALLAS—Access Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company leveraging proprietary drug-delivery platforms to develop treatments in areas of oncology, cancer supportive care and diabetes, has hired Edelman to support its media outreach initiatives. Edelman will assist Access in implementing a media communications outreach program primarily aimed at introducing MuGard and building awareness of its ability to treat oral mucositis, a potentially debilitating disease.

BOSTON—Dreamstime, a leading stock photography community, has engaged Lewis PR to implement a media relations and thought leadership campaign in North America. The campaign will focus on increasing awareness in the US among target customers, including advertising agencies, design professionals, national and international magazines, online media sites and film and television production companies. Rich Young, vice president in Lewis’ Boston office, will lead the program.

THOUSAND OAKS, CA—The David James Agency has added web performance optimization software provider FastSoft to its client list. DJA has been selected to help build awareness for FastSoft via public relations, social media and lead-generation campaigns.

TAMPA—Safe Paw, SureFlap, and Pawgua have retained Fetching Communications as agency of record. In addition, Veterinary Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Group retained the agency for marketing collateral design work.
