DirecTV selects Burson-Marsteller for PR in PR, plus new accounts for 5W Public Relations, Pollack PR Marketing Group, ad Empower PR.

GUAYNABO, PR—DirecTV, a leading satellite television provider in Latin America and the Caribbean, has named Burson-Marsteller its agency of record to lead public relations strategies in the Puerto Rico market. Burson-Marsteller will manage public, media and corporate relations drawing on its expertise in brand communications.

NEW YORK—5W Public Relations has added international skincare brand Ahava to its growing wellness and beauty practice. According to Ahava chief executive Michael Etedgi the firm was chosen for its “passion and media expertise.”

LOS ANGELES—Human Touch, a market leader in premier robotic massage products, has selected The Pollack PR Marketing Group as its agency of record to develop its brand positioning, promote its products through national media exposure and to support its efforts at national trade shows and conferences.

CHICAGO—Software company VendorCheckIn has hired Empower Public Relations to design and implement the launch of its new program. VendorCheckIn helps hotels manage vendors coming in and out of their hotels.
