Carmichael Lynch Spong has picked up three new clients, plus new business for French/West/Vaughan, JMPR Public Relations, Beaman, Zapwater Communications, and Trylon SMR.

MINNEAPOLIS—Carmichael Lynch Spong has picked up three new clients. Calphalon has chosen Carmichael Lynch Spong as its agency of record. The firm will help support the entire Calphalon product line, from professional cookware to the new kitchen electric products. Matador is a new brand for teens by Jack Link’s Beef Jerky that has selected CLS to assist in its launch through a variety of media outreach and experiential initiatives. Prestige Wine Group has requested the firm’s help in creating a media relations outreach plan to support two of its key products: the popular Argentinian line of Conquista wines and the new, Fair Trade Certified Fairhills line.


RALEIGH, NC—French/West/Vaughan has been named agency-of-record by Isagenix, a leader in nutritional systems for weight management, long-term wellness and skincare. FWV will provide strategic counsel and support to raise awareness of Isagenix and its products through comprehensive public relations that will include proactive media relations and partnership development.  “After several years of rapid growth, we’re eager to implement an integrated public relations campaign with a committed, proven partner,” said Jim Coover, Isagenix co-founder. “FWV possesses comprehensive knowledge of the health, weight loss and nutritional supplement industries.”


WOODLAND HILLS, CA—Mota Motors has engaged JMPR Public Relations to assist with public relations services and media relations initiatives for, an online service that enables private party buyers and sellers of used vehicles to come together. JMPR will work closely with Mota and its partners to promote on-line peer-to-peer vehicle sales through the site. JMPR will leverage Mota's "fair and square" philosophy to alter some of the common perceptions of private party vehicle sales through an industry-wide initiative.


BALTIMORE—The Nielsen Company has selected Beaman, a full-service communications firm, to manage public relations and community outreach to support the launch of its Local People Meter service in the Baltimore market. Beaman currently serves as the company’s advertising agency of record. In its new role, the agency will guide a proactive public relations campaign designed to heighten the profile of The Nielsen Company and its LPM service among business executives, elected officials, community leaders and African-American, Hispanic/Latino and Asian American television viewers.

CHICAGO—Zapwater Communications has added Barton Healthcare to its client roster. Barton is one of the largest caregivers in Illinois. Zapwater has been retained to handle media relations and positioning for Barton Healthcare, as well as develop a social media strategy for the company.  In addition, Zapwater will assist Barton in monitoring and developing communications strategies around pending legislative issues.


NEW YORK—Trylon SMR has been selected by We Media to handle public relations for its 2009 conference, this month  at the University of Miami. We Media brings together leaders who share insights and experiences shaping the connected society and its new marketplaces.
