NEW YORK—G(irls)20, a global social profit organization that works for the economic empowerment of girls and women around the world, has named  Burson-Marsteller as its official media and communications partner. Burson-Marsteller is joining a global network of partners from the private sector, governments and social profit organizations, which support the G(irls)20 Summit in becoming one of the leading global  platforms advancing the full participation of girls and women globally through their economic and political empowerment.

MIAMI—RockOrange has been selected as the agency of record to lead public relations efforts for fine rum producer Botran Rums. The firm will collaborate with the Botran US marketing team, with a focus on elevating the brand’s profile in the United States to bring the rum to new consumers. The first major project involves launching a new alliance between Botran and GRAMMY Award-winning producer and entrepreneur Emilio Estefan.

WASHINGTON, DC—Fusion, a global company that offers proprietary software and expert consultant services to help online retailers maximize their customers’ experience across all digital platforms, has hired Environics Communications as its new marketing communications agency. Environics will be developing and implementing a social and traditional marketing communications campaign that will build awareness of Fusion with online merchants in all its key target sectors.

BOSTON—PAN Communications was selected by Carbonite, a leading provider of backup and recovery solutions,  to serve as its PR agency of record and to support the company’s shift to the small to medium sized business market and increased focus on the channel. PAN will leverage Carbonite’s foundation in the consumer market to establish the company as a supporter of SMBs and will be responsible for creating campaigns that articulate Carbonite’s roots as a small business.

MIAMI—The Montserrat Development Corporation has selected Cheryl Andrews Marketing Communications to manage global public relations operations and promote investment opportunities and economic growth throughout Montserrat. CAMC previously served as agency of record for the Caribbean destination’s tourism board from 2005 to 2011.

DENVER—Quiet Light Brokerage, which facilitates the sale of independently-verified web-based businesses, has appointed Volume Public Relations as PR agency of record. Volume supports Quiet Light Brokerage with branding, messaging, marketing and the firm’s public relations services.

NEW YORK—Workhouse has been selected as public relations and marketing agency of record for fashion house Obakki and The Obakki Foundation, Obakki's philanthropic counterpart that focuses on providing clean water and education in Africa. Workhouse will direct a program to bring branded visibility to Obakki and the Foundation domestically, including media and trade relations, influencer outreach, digial counsel and national and local market consumer cultivation.

SOMERSET, NJ—Tartaglia Communications has been named to support public relations for the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation's Science Program, established to create positive change for future generations around the world and at home in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

LOS ANGELES—SEMrush, a leading data provider for competitive and keyword research,  has selected Bob Gold & Associates to lead its US communications efforts.
