New business for Weber Shandwick, Arketi Group, Maroon PR, Investor Relations Group, and Allen & Caron.

NEW YORK—Collactive, an online and social media marketing company, has named Weber Shandwick as its agency of record following a competitive agency review. Weber Shandwick's New York technology practice will provide global strategic communications program development and execution for the company. Collactive is a community-based solution that helps people voice opinions online by mobilizing an organization’s supporters through social media. According to Eran Reshef, CEO of Collactive: “With Weber Shandwick's resources, global reach and proven expertise in the ad/marketing vertical space, this partnership will help us tell our story and meet our short and long-term business goals.”


ATLANTA—Arketi Group, a high-tech business-to-business marketing and public relations firm, has been named agency of record by bigWebApps, a leading provider of web-based help desk and customer support solutions. As bigWebApps' agency of record, Arketi Group will execute an integrated marketing and public relations campaign to raise awareness of the bigWebApps brand among network integrators and IT consultants, while continuing to address key education decision makers. This effort will include public relations, email marketing, lead generation, search marketing and trade show outreach.


MARRIOTTSVILLE, MD—Maroon PR and Sandy Hillman Communications have formed a strategic relationship for the purpose of co-representing clients with synergistic interests. The two companies’ first collaboration will be the handling of public relations for the World Series of Poker, with which Hillman has been associated since the event was purchased by Harrah’s Entertainment in 2004.
