SAN DIEGO—Boostcase, best known for its iPhone power cases, has chosen Havas Formula to execute a strategic PR program. Havas Formula will help promote the brand’s collection of premium power solutions and is charged with increasing brand awareness within technology, business and lifestyle media.

NEW YORK—Steaz (pictured), the organic and fair trade green tea-based beverage company, has selected Sparkpr’s New York office as PR agency of record and Moosylvania as social agency of record. The two firms will focus on growing Steaz’ awareness from a successful natural channel brand into a multi-channel brand, highlighting Steaz’ products, its commitment to fair trade, and its new brand ambassador New England Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis.

NEW YORK—Osteo Bi-Flex, a joint health supplement market leader, is launching a national education campaign to raise awareness of joint health and to encourage consumers of all ages to start paying attention to their knees, ankles and other joints. The company has retained MWW for a campaign that will provide US consumers with steps they can take to help strengthen their joints and to help support their joints throughout their lives.

NEW YORK—The Jefferson, Washington, DC, a luxury boutique hotel located in the nation’s capital, has named DKC Public Relations as its agency of record. DKC will work with The Jefferson’s team to oversee a public relations platform and strategies for the hotel, which reopened in 2009 following an extensive property restoration spanning nearly three years.

NEW YORK—Excelsior Wine Company, a joint venture between Chile’s Concha y Toro and Banfi Vintners, has retained Conundrum as its public relations agency of record for Little Black Dress Wines. The agency will assist Excelsior with external communications strategies for Little Black Dress Wines as well as supporting the brand’s marketing collaborations including a breast cancer awareness initiative with Keep-a-Breast and partnership with country singer Adley Stump.

RALEIGH, NC—Miami Heat forward Luol Deng has selected French/West/Vaughan as his marketing and endorsement agency of record. FWV will work with Deng to develop his personal brand and maximize his marketing portfolio.

DENVER—Turner Public Relations, a national public relations and digital media firm specializing in travel, tourism, real estate and active lifestyle, outdoor and fashion brands, has added four new accounts: The Carneros Inn, a luxury resort located in Napa Valley’s wine country; Hyatt Playa del Carmen; Westgate Park City in Utah; and Gociety, a social network for adventurers. 

SANTA MONICA, CA—Blaze has added HelloTel App, a new social networking app that allows hotel guests to check-in and connect with fellow travelers, to its roster. Blaze will manage an aggressive media outreach program to build national and international awareness around HelloTel’s launch.

TAMPA BAY, FL—JoTo PR has added Consumer Energy Solutions and Dazz cleaning spray company, Sunstate Labs to its client roster.
