Fineman PR has been retained by California Cancer Specialists Medical Group, plus new business for Airfoil, Linhart Public Relations, G.S. Schwartz & Co., Maroon PR, Krupp Kommunications, Lisa Lori Communications, and 5W.

SAN FRANCISCO—Fineman PR has been retained by California Cancer Specialists Medical Group, which does business under the City of Hope Medical Group brand, an independent and collaborative academic physician practice that provides inpatient and outpatient services primarily related to the treatment of various types of cancer. Fineman will assist the group with issues related to its professional medical services agreement negotiations with City of Hope National Medical Center.


DETROIT—Airfoil Public Relations has added solidThinking, a global industrial design and styling software company, to its client roster. solidThinking was recently acquired by Michigan-based Altair Engineering, a provider of technology and services that empower client innovation and decision-making. Airfoil's program for solidThinking began with a comprehensive media relations campaign around the acquisition news and the global launch of solidThinking's latest version 7.6 software for Windows and Mac users. On an ongoing basis, Airfoil will provide solidThinking media relations, speaking and awards program, and marketing communications strategy and counsel. The firm is currently providing strategic counsel, social media outreach and event support for solidThinking's debut appearance at the Macworld Conference & Expo.


DENVER—Linhart Public Relations has been selected by SolaRover, a leading provider of environmentally-friendly mobile power generation systems, as its national public relations firm. Linhart PR and SolaRover will work together to create awareness and preference for SolaRover among potential government and private sector customers, resellers and influencers.  Linhart PR will develop tailored marketing collateral and implement an ongoing media relations campaign to create a regular pulse of news and build credibility with key journalists.


NEW YORK—G.S. Schwartz & Co. has been retained to handle public relations for two major industry events: the New York Wine Expo and the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show & Conference. These events are back-to-back with the agency’s upcoming fifth year handling American International Toy Fair.

Maroon PR today has added Major League Baseball pitcher Jamie Moyer and sports-ticket management company Fanatix to its roster of clients. Maroon will manage brand building efforts for each client, as well as offer ongoing media relations and marketing support services.


NEW YORK—Children’s Educational Network, an internet software company that offers a private label kid-safe browser technology, has named Krupp Kommunications, as its public relations agency of record. K2 will develop and execute strategic communications programs to increase the brand's awareness for its suite of products and special initiatives.


GREENWICH, CT—Lisa Lori Communications has been selected by the School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center to provide public relations for two upcoming events in 2009 including: the annual Winter Ball and The School of American Ballet’s Workshop Performance Benefit. The firm has also been hired by Cognac Ferrand-USA as agency of record to provide public relations support for three brands in its portfolio including: Pierre Ferrand Cognac, Citadelle Gin and Mathilde Liqueur.
