New business success for Finn Partners, Waggener Edstrom, M&C Saatchi PR, Lou Hammond and Abel Communications.

NEW YORK—Finn Partners has been retained by Fujitsu America, the wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese information and communication technology company Fujitsu Limited, as agency of record following a competitive review. The assignment is being led by Carol Edwards, partner, with teams in offices in New York, San Francisco and Canada. Finn Partners will work with Fujitsu to expand the reach of its service, consulting and product portfolio including its cloud and retail solutions in the North American market.

SEATTLE—Karlsson’s Vodka, a producer of spirits made from single-distilled and unfiltered expressions of virgin new potatoes, has selected Waggener Edstrom Worldwide to champion the Swedish-based company’s vodka to the North American beverage industry. Karlsson’s Vodka selected WE for its ability to leverage social, digital marketing, creative and communications talent to deliver an integrated campaign for master blender Börje Karlsson’s creations.

NEW YORK—M&C Saatchi PR has been named the first-ever agency of record for the United States Olympic Committee. The Saatchi team, led by Sandra Carreon-John, senior VP, will manage several major events leading up to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi including the 2014 media summit and the 100 days out celebration. M&C Saatchi PR will lead a campaign that highlights the organization's vast fundraising efforts. It will focus on increasing awareness and understanding of the importance of funding to a successful Team USA which receives no money from the federal government.

NEW YORK—The Bermuda Department of Tourism will continue to work with Lou Hammond & Associates as its public relations agency of record after a competitive review. The firm has also added several new clients, including: Wild Dunes Resort, Charleston’s Island Resort; Hotel Ella in Austin, Texas; L’Apogee Courchevel, a premium resort located in the French Alps; Best Chefs America; and Housing Solutions.

BALTIMORE—Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, a large Mid-Atlantic multiple listing service, has selected Abel Communications as its PR agency of record. Abel will provide strategic communications campaigns with a focus on relevant message development and media relations.
