AVG Technologies, developer of anti-virus software, has selected MS&LGroup as its global public relations agency of record, plus new business for Ogilvy PR, Spetctrum, Greenough, Morris + King, and KCSA.

NEW YORK—AVG Technologies, developer of anti-virus software, has selected MS&LGroup as its global public relations agency of record. MS&L will lead all corporate, digital and consumer public relations, working closely with sister company Capital MS&L on financial communications and investor relations. AVG will draw on the firms’ expertise in corporate and financial communications, consumer public relations and social media engagement to enhance its reputation as a leader in the online security space and build its brand awareness among consumers, investors and key stakeholders.


WASHINGTON, D.C.—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has been awarded a contract from everis, a multinational IT consulting firm that works with clients in banking, insurance, public sector, telecom, and utilities.  Ogilvy/Washington is tasked with aiding the introduction of the permanent presence of the European-based company into the United States.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Healthcare communications specialist Spectrum has added six new accounts in the first half of 2010. The new clients include two biopharmaceutical firms (Alnylam Pharmaceuticals and Zeltia Group) a major cancer research hospital (The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University), a healthcare immunization and wellness provider organization (Maxim Health Systems), and a rehabilitation technology company (AlterG).

NEW YORK—The Morris + King Company has been retained by BlueCava, a new wholly-owned subsidiary of Uniloc USA, as BlueCava’s agency-of-record, MKC will develop and execute a comprehensive public relations campaign that will tap the diverse strengths of MKC, while also capitalizing on the capabilities of SeisMK, MKC’s digital and social media division.

NEW YORK—Mount Knowledge Holdings, an educational software development, sales and training company, has retained KCSA Strategic Communications to lead the company's corporate communications program. KCSA was retained to implement a comprehensive integrated communications campaign designed to build greater awareness of Mount Knowledge. Todd Fromer, managing partner of KCSA, will lead the KCSA team and provide strategic counsel on financial communication matters.
