SAN FRANCISCO—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has been appointed as global PR agency of record for Silicon Graphics International. SGI hired Ogilvy PR to expand the company's global reach and build on its positioning as a leading provider of high-performance computing, storage solutions and services. In addition, Ogilvy PR will work with SGI to increase its brand awareness in key international markets.

NEW YORK—MWW Group has been retained by Zumba Fitness as its public relations agency of record.
MWW will develop and guide strategy for all of the company’s communications initiatives including implementing a multi-pronged program to help Zumba Fitness strengthen and grow its foothold as the leading global multimedia fitness company. The Zumba Fitness account will be managed by MWW Group’s health and fitness practice, which has worked with clients including Gold’s Gym, Nutrisystem, Everlast and Bally Total Fitness.

LOS ANGELES—Boingo Wireless has selected Weber Shandwick as its agency of record, following a competitive pitch. The firm began work in January, providing strategic public relations counsel, consumer and trade public relations, and marketing support for Boingo’s 2011 initiatives. “Weber Shandwick demonstrated a unique ability to understand the complex technical issues of the wireless industry, while coupling that insight with a creative approach to reaching consumers,” says Christian Gunning, director of corporate communications for Boingo. “The team aligned closely with our culture and brand.”

BOSTON—Cone has added 15 new clients to the agency’s prestigious roster, split among its core disciplines of corporate responsibility, cause branding, nonprofit marketing, brand marketing and crisis prevention and management. The new clients include Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, Sierra Club, LifeStraw, Folds of Honor, Lexis Nexis, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Scripps, Avon and Putney School.

MINNEAPOLIS—Karwoski & Courage Public Relations has added three new clients to its roster: A-dec Dental Equipment for media relations and strategic planning; agricultural equipment manufacturer Kinze Manufacturing for integrated branding; and the law firm of Felhaber Larson Fenlon & Vogt following its recent merger with Rosene Haugrud & Staab Chartered.

NEW YORK—Workhouse has been selected by "New Korean" restaurant pioneer Jung Sik as agency of record. Workhouse will develop integrated promotional campaigns that synchronize communication efforts for the opening of Jung Sik's Tribeca location and will execute a comprehensive public relations plan for domestic publicity and special events.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ—iPlay America and Encore Event Center, a new entertainment and event concept in Freehold, NJ, has selected R&J Public Relations as its public relations agency of record. R&J will conduct a public relations campaign to help to create and build the iPlay and Encore brands, increase awareness of the premier indoor amusement park, iPlay America, and introduce its banquet hall and event center.

NEW YORK—Child’s Play Communications had added My Twinn, which creates customizable, one-of-a-kind dolls in a child’s likeness, to the company’s client roster. The agency will manage the company’s traditional and social media efforts.

NEW YORK—Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations has added The Out NYC to the agency’s roster of travel and tourism clients.
