SAN FRANCISCO—Weber Shandwick has been appointed by OneRoof Energy, an energy service provider, to raise awareness of the company’s solar leasing options for consumers. The firm is tasked with developing a business and consumer engagement initiative to help drive customer acquisitions and sales. The partnership also aims to increase OneRoof Energy’s brand awareness in the US, particularly in states where solar installations are on the rise such as California and Arizona.

NEW YORK—Mini USA, a business unit of BMW of North America, has named Peppercomm as its public relations agency of record. The agency's work will range from product publicity and trade show support to new model launches and communicating Mini's brand and marketing campaigns.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ—Coffee Bean Direct, a leading purveyor of gourmet coffee and tea, has selected R&J Public Relations as its public relations agency of record. R&J will focus on enhancing Coffee Bean Direct’s brand identity and generating awareness for the company’s line of freshly roasted coffees and hand-blended teas. In addition, The firm will help Coffee Bean Direct establish meaningful connections with consumers, particularly coffee and tea enthusiasts.

NEW YORK—Travel Portland, the official destination marketing organization for Portland, Ore., has selected MMGY Global as its New York-based public relations agency of record. MMGY will support the destination’s media relations on a national level and in targeted markets and will develop a program to share new stories from the chefs, restaurateurs, vintners, mixologists and brewers of Portland’s culinary scene.

WASHINGTON, DC—BlueOSS, a leading provider of business productivity, process management, business intelligence and BSS/OSS solutions, has hired Environics Communications as its new national public relations agency. ATLANTA—Brandware Public Relations, a full-service public relations firm specializing in enthusiast brands, has been selected as public relations agency of record for RKM Collector Car Auctions. The Brandware team will manage brand and event media communications for the company, which held its debut auction this past May.
