Linhart wins University of Northern Colorado accounts, plus new business successes for Clear!Blue, Berkman, KCSA, Verge 180, and Zapwater Communications.

DENVERLinhart Public Relations has been selected by the University of Northern Colorado as its public relations firm. Linhart PR and the University of Northern Colorado will work together to implement a public relations program in part focused on bolstering the University’s reputation and profile among Colorado’s key community and corporate leaders. Linhart PR will provide strategic counsel to enhance the University’s involvement with non-profit and corporate organizations, assist with media relations and coordinate an array of brand-building initiatives.


BIRMINGHAM, MI—Clear!Blue has added several new clients in 2008, including Chicago-based FLOR, a manufacturer of residential carpet tiles that hired Clear!Blue for public relations and media outreach in consumer, lifestyle, fashion and home décor media outlets; the Detroit Renaissance Foundation, which partnered with Clear!Blue to develop a brand identity and supporting marketing plan promoting the creative talent pool in the city; and NeoSynergy is a provider of Web-based enterprise automotive retail management, advertising and e-commerce software and services, which tapped Clear!Blue to position the company as a thought leader in the technology and automotive marketing arenas.


SAN DIEGO—Berkman, a full-service  public relations, branding, new media and marketing communications firm, has added five accounts: a national PR and new media campaign for Glucocil, a natural herbal formula designed to help Type 2 diabetics manage their blood sugar; an international PR campaign for Epic, a specialty digital camera; an international PR and new media program for Asupmatoma, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the endangered sea turtles and the environment of Baja California Sur; a regional PR and marketing campaign for Acqua Al 2, an Italian restaurant in downtown San Diego; and abranding, marketing communications, new media, and community outreach program for Temple Emanu-El, one of San Diego’s oldest reform synagogues.


NEW YORK—TruMedia Technologies has selected KCSA Strategic Communications as its public relations agency of record. TruMedia is led by marketing industry veteran, George Murphy, chief executive officer, who previously served as senior vice president of global marketing at Daimler Chrysler. KCSA will implement a multi-faceted campaign to introduce global brands, advertisers and the ad agency community to TruMedia’s complete range of products and services.


PRINCETON, NJVerge180 has added Thoracic Group, the largest provider of general thoracic surgical services in New Jersey, as a new client. Thoracic Group is a leader in the field of video assisted thoracic surgery. Verge180 will assist the company with all general branding of the practice, from corporate identity to web presence to public relations.

CHICAGO—Zapwater Communications has been retained by Chicago Gateway Green to handle the media relations for the 17th annual Green Tie Ball, Greenivale. Zapwater will work with the event planning company, McGowan Durpetti & Associates. All proceeds from Green Tie Ball support the efforts of Chicago Gateway Green.
