SAN FRANCISCO—Avigilon, a leader in high-definition and megapixel video surveillance solutions, has selected Ogilvy Public Relations as its new agency of record in the United States. Avigilon will partner with Ogilvy PR on corporate communications, thought leadership, media relations and product PR. The account will be run by the technology practice out of Ogilvy PR's San Francisco office.

SAN DIEGO—Hot Dog on a Stick, a California-based chain of fresh fast food outlets, has selected Gable PR to develop and implement a public relations program for supporting the company’s strategic regional, national and global expansion. Gable will assist in telling the story of the company’s history and values, and employees who have helped establish Hot Dog on a Stick as a symbol of the California beach culture.

WASHINGTON, DC—KCI Technologies, a design, consulting and construction company, has hired Environics Communications to assist with public relations in the telecommunications infrastructure market. Environics will develop and implement a campaign to expand awareness of KCI’s engineering and construction expertise in the telecommunications sector. The program will include traditional and social media relations, including speaking engagements, to reach clients and the general public.

DENVER—GroundFloor Media has added Similasan USA, homeopathic Swiss formulas made with natural active ingredients, to its client roster. GFM will deliver a robust strategic communications program including the development of foundational materials and news releases, provide media training, conduct media outreach and offer trade show support.

NEW YORK—5W Public Relations has added Voices Against Brain Cancer, which exists to find a cure for brain cancer by advancing scientific research, increasing awareness within the medical community and supporting patients, their families and caregivers, to its client roster. The firm will execute a campaign featuring media relations, event support, and more.

BOSTON—Birnbach Communications, Inc., a boutique public relations and social media agency, has been selected by Unitrends, a leading provider of integrated and scalable backup, archiving and disaster recovery solutions. Birnbach Communications is handling media relations, social media marketing, product reviews and product awards across the US. Columbia, SC-based Unitrends selected Birnbach for the agency's expertise in backup software, social media and technology.

NEW YORK—Ron Wendt Design, a New York-based floral event design company, has selected Lisa Lori Communications to handle public relations for the company. The firm will provide publicity, social media outreach and marketing support.

NEW YORK—Longtime project client POP International Gallery has retained Corbin-Hillman Communications as agency of record for PR and social media. Corbin-Hillman Communications will execute comprehensive public relations and social media programs to increase awareness for the gallery and its artists.
