The Consortium for Risk & Crisis Communication, comprised of Widmeyer Communications and the Center for Risk Communication, has been awarded a contract by Health Research Incorporated.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Consortium for Risk & Crisis Communication, comprised of Widmeyer Communications and the Center for Risk Communication, has been awarded a contract by Health Research Incorporated, a not-for-profit corporation affiliated with the New York State Department of Health, to conduct faith-based communication audience research and risk and crisis communication trainings. The Consortium will work with HRI to determine the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of faith-based organizations regarding public health preparedness, specifically regarding the provision of essential information to their constituencies, and to identify challenges, gaps and barriers to conducting emergency preparedness and response activities.

NEW YORK—Dukas Public Relations has added three new clients to its rapidly-growing financial and professional services practice: Atlantic Street Capital Management, a special situations private equity fund investing in middle market companies; Eisner, considered one of the premier certified public accounting and advisory firms in the country; and Zecco Holdings, the company behind, the online financial portal and community that offers access to free stock trading to investors. BALTIMORE—The Athlete’s Foot has hired Warschawski for national public relations. Warschawski will handle media relations and branding to help grow business for the footwear company.

MINNEAPOLIS—Caribou Coffee, Welsh Companies, VISI and Fogo de Chao have selected Minneapolis public relations agency Maccabee Group for media relations and  communications services.

ATLANTA—Carabiner Communications has been named agency of record by nuBridges, a provider of eBusiness software and services for manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, utilities and financial services firms worldwide; ServiceKey TSS, a provider of technology service and support for midrange systems, networking and storage environments; and Steelbox Networks, makers of network video distribution and storage devices.
