NEW YORK—Kwittken & Company has been hired to implement a public relations program for brand licensing consultancy The Beanstalk Group. The consultancy hired KCO to help build a better understanding of the effectiveness of strategic, brand extension licensing among marketing professionals. KCO’s focus will be to help The Beanstalk Group communicate its unparalleled expertise in licensing and also to more broadly communicate the power of licensing as part of today’s brand marketing mix, developing a thought leadership platform for The Beanstalk Group’s president and chief executive officer Michael Stone.

NEW YORK—Travel and lifestyle public relations specialist Lou Hammond & Associates has added five new accounts: Grand Cascades Lodge at Crystal Springs, a 200-room hotel scheduled to open in November; Ireland West Airport Knock and FlyGlobespan airline, a partnership offering low-cost air service from New York’s JFK and Boston’s Logan airports to the western region of Ireland; Mezzo, a boutique condominium located in Atlanta that will cater to a wellness lifestyle; Great Camps, a collection of high-end vacation communities in North Carolina; and The Tudor Hotel at The United Nations.

INDIANAPOLIS—Oxford BioSignals Medical, a global life sciences company that recently relocated its world headquarters to the United States, has named Roman BrandGroup as its official public relations agency. Roman BrandGroup will provide public relations services, with an emphasis on increasing awareness of the Indiana-based company and its products including patient safety software and electrocardiogram interpretation technology.

HINGHAM, MA—Nahil Communications Group has added three new accounts: Brighton House Associates, Artline Industries, and the British Army Benevolent Fund America. Nahil will develop public relations programs, corporate and product launch services, as well as aggressive direct marketing, executive communications, and event management programs that are designed to increase each client’s share of market, share of voice and general awareness.

NEW YORK—French/West/Vaughan has been selected Australian company Caroma, a specialist and worldwide leader in water efficient bathroom products, to increase brand exposure nationally through comprehensive consumer and trade outreach strategies. Caroma was the first company to commercialize development and production of dual flush toilets, nearly 25 years ago and has become known for innovation and water conservation.

NEW YORK—Food public relations specialist IdeaZeit PR has been retained by Kindred Spirits, a Miami-based premium wine and spirits company. The agency will handle PR and events for the renowned Dry Sack sherry and Gran Duque D’Alba brandy by Williams & Humbert in Jerez, Spain, as well as corporate public relations for Kindred Spirits. IdeaZeit will be rolling out a highly targeted campaign aimed at repositioning Dry Sack to a newer, younger audience and introducing the concept of the Brandy de Jerez appellation for Gran Duque to an affluent, male audience in search of new experiences.

EMA’s first assignment is to provide a comprehensive marketing communications campaign for The Woods in Weddington, N.C., a new luxury residential development 14 miles south of Charlotte.

SILVER SPRING, MD—Strategic Communications Group has been selected as public relations agency of record by Senforce Technologies, a market leader in endpoint security management. NEW YORK—JS² Communications, has been named agency of record for MBT Physiological Footwear. LAS VEGAS—The Firm Public Relations & Marketing has been retained by ICE: Direct From Russia and Bally Technologies. The Firm is handling local and national public relations efforts for ICE: Direct From Russia, the first new show to debut at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in 20 years. Bally Technologies has retained The Firm to handle national public relations and marketing efforts in celebration of the company’s 75th anniversary.

NEW YORK—Trylon SMR has been selected by NY: MIEG as agency of record to handle public relations for all its media relations requirements. NY:MIEG, founded and organized by Bill Sobel, is a group of media  professionals that meets monthly in New York City.

CHICAGO—Zapwater Communications has added Swirl Wine Bar to its client roster. Zapwater will provide media relations and event management support as well as targeted one-on-one marketing assistance.
