TORONTO—MS&L’s Toronto office has been selected as public relations agency of record for the digital camera division of Fujifilm Canada, one of the world's leading imaging and information companies. According to Kelly Kelly, senior director of marketing, imaging products with Fujifilm Canada: “In selecting MS&L, Fujifilm Canada has made a strategic decision to build its brand with a public relations agency that offers deep experience in the digital and social media space.”


NEW YORK—Lou Hammond & Associates has added several new accounts: Sonoma County, including the Sonoma County Tourism Bureau, Sonoma County Vintners and the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission; the Paradise Island Tourism Development Association and the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board; and Gurney’s Inn, located at the tip of Long Island in Montauk.


NEW YORK—SpectrumDNA, a social media studio that creates digital network applications for web and wireless properties, has selected KCSA Strategic Communications as its public and investor relations agency of record. SpectrumDNA, will work with KCSA to implement an integrated strategic media relations program and investor relations campaign to drive awareness of both the company and its applications. 

NEW YORK—Scott Barnes, one of the fashion industry’s most well-known makeup artists, has chosen DKC to promote his personal brand as well as his upcoming book, About Face. DKC will engage a variety of fashion, beauty, and entertainment media to further expand Barnes’ profile. Barnes is the makeup artist to celebrities including Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion. NEW YORK—Crenshaw Communications has been selected by Club Quarters to handle the media announcement for the River Hotel, a new boutique hotel in Chicago for business and leisure travelers. River Hotel will open in May 2009 inside the landmark Mather Tower. Crenshaw will communicate the benefits of River Hotel and focus on media outreach to the hospitality, hotel and travel trades, as well as travel media in regional markets that provide for travelers to Chicago.


SAN FRANCISCO—College Hill, a London-based has corporate and financial communications consultancy, has added Cyntellect, a leading provider of microplate-based cytometry systems for in situ cellular analysis and purification, and Altair Therapeutics, an emerging biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics to treat human respiratory diseases, to its U.S. life sciences client roster.


NEW YORK—LVM Group has been chosen to handle the public relations for Guzov Ofsink, a New York City law firm, and for New World Home, a New York City and Atlanta modular home company


SOMERSET, NJ—Tartaglia Communications has been named agency of record for the American Board of Addiction Medicine, a medical specialty board focused on preventing, diagnosing and treating drug addiction, and for The ABAM Foundation, the board’s educational arm. Tartaglia’s work for ABAM will include communications planning, message and materials development, and national, local and trade media relations.  Tartaglia Communications was the only firm considered by ABAM.
