New business success for Edelman, Environics, Lou Hammond, Sagon Phior, Boom, Buffalo, and CPR.

LOS ANGELES—ValueClick, one of the world's largest integrated online marketing companies, has retained Edelman as its PR agency of record. The agency will be responsible for managing media relations, influencer engagement and corporate communications.

WASHINGTON, DC—The American Chemical Society Green Chemistry Institute has hired Environics Communications as its new national public relations agency. The ACS Green Chemistry Institute is a not-for-profit devoted to promoting the advancement of green chemistry. Environics will be working with the Institute to help build awareness of three roundtables representing the pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturer’s and formulator’s industry segments.  The agency will conduct an extensive audit of trade and consumer awareness around green chemistry and then develop a communications strategy to promote each individual roundtable.

NEW YORK—Lou Hammond & Associates has added Premier Rail Collection, a growing portfolio of passenger railroads with both freight and passenger services, and is also launching The Polar Express at the Saratoga & North Creek Railway, inspired by the hit Warner Bros. film. Other new clients include urbangreen, a “real wood” furniture brand.

LOS ANGELES—The Nonhuman Rights Project has selected Los Angeles-based agency Sagon-Phior for branding, social media and PR, to assist with its pursuit of legal rights for specific nonhuman animals.
Sagon-Phior will develop a national strategic social media and public relations campaign for the NhRP. The project will include brand messaging development, public relations, digital and social media, support and positioning as the NhRP files the first of many lawsuits.

DENVER—Boom Broadcast & Media Relations is again assisting the March of Dimes Foundation with the announcement of its annual March of Dimes 2013 Premature Birth Report Card. Boom has also added the Joyful Heart Foundation to its client roster to launch the “No More” PSA campaign aimed at stopping domestic violence and sexual abuse.
