NEW YORK—Affect, a public relations and social media firm, has been named public relations agency of record for Microdesk, a company specializing in technology and business process consulting for the architecture, engineering, construction and owner/operator industry. Affect will help Microdesk increase its visibility as a thought leader while driving awareness of its product and service offerings.

NEW YORK—Nextag, an online shopping destination, has chosen MWW Group to serve as agency of record. Nextag selected MWW to develop a brand-building campaign that deepens Nextag’s relationships with consumers and amplifies its voice in the e-commerce industry. The firm’s work will span its consumer lifestyle marketing, corporate communications and Dialogue digital practices and include brand positioning, corporate reputation, executive eminence and social media elements.

BOSTON—Tier One Partners has been selected as the agency of record for Weemba, a social network site that aims to revolutionize the way borrowers and professional lenders find each other and interact. Tier One has been retained to help support the company through its launch and expansion across the US.

NEW YORK—Dukas Public Relations has been selected by JMP Group, a publicly held investment banking and asset management firm, as its agency of record. DPR will focus primarily on securing national top-tier business media coverage to expand and strengthen JMP's reputation in the marketplace.

CAMPBELL, CA—Walt & Company has been chosen by OakGate Technology, a leading provider of system validation platforms and interoperability tools to the storage and server industries, to help support the launch of its latest test and validation platforms. Walt & Company will provide OakGate with public relations and social media communications services designed to reach key data storage and IT market influencers including analysts, bloggers and editors.

BOSTON—Greenough Communications has been named the agency of record for Velocity Technology Solutions, a leading cloud ERP provider.
