The Morris + King Company has been retained by LBi IconNicholson U.S., plus new business for S3, K/F Communications, Krupp Kommunikations, Trylon SMR and JS2 Communications.

NEW YORK—The Morris + King Company has been retained by LBi IconNicholson U.S., the U.S. presence of LBi International, a global digital marketing and technology agency. As agency-of-record, MKC will develop and execute a comprehensive public relations campaign on behalf of LBi IconNicholson U.S. MKC previously worked as AOR for Special Ops Media, one of the nation’s top digital advertising agencies and a recent acquisition of LBi International.

BOONTON, NJ—Denver-based Smashburger, a fast casual "better burger" restaurant concept, has named S3 as its public relations agency of record for New Jersey. The inaugural New Jersey Smashburger will open this winter in Montclair. S3 will manage Smashburger's day-to-day communications and marketing efforts, generate word-of-mouth buzz, and increase media awareness beginning with the Montclair store. Smashburger will also open stores in Morristown and East Hanover soon thereafter.

SAN FRANCISCO—K/F Communications has been selected as agency of record for, a leading Twitter video application; PacketMotion, developer of compliance, audit and security solutions; and Covia Labs, developer of a software platform enabling interoperability across diverse devices.


NEW YORK—Empowered Media, which operates the Jillian Michaels brand, has named Krupp Kommunications as its public relations agency of record. K2 will consult and collaborate with the Empowered Media team, draft overall brand messaging, and develop and execute a strategic marketing and public relations plan to advance the Jillian Michaels brand.

NEW YORK—Trylon SMR has been selected by LocateTV, a web-based programming guide providing TV, online and DVD viewing information, as agency of record to handle public relations for  its media relations requirements.


NEW YORK—JS2 Communications has added Mad Men star Bryan Batt to its entertainment roster. In addition to Mad Men, Batt also appeared in Judd Apatow's latest film, Funny PeopleHis debut book, a memoir entitled "She Ain't Heavy, She's My Mother" is set for a spring 2010 release.
