Lou Hammond & Associates has been selected as the marketing communications agency of record for Oceania Cruises, plus new business for Fleishman-Hillard, 5W Public Relations, Morris + King, and Perkett PR.

NEW YORK—Lou Hammond & Associates has been selected as the marketing communications agency of record for Oceania Cruises, the world’s only upper-premium line. The agency will handle all public relations activities surrounding the launch of the line’s new Oceania-class vessels. According to Bob Binder, president of Oceania Cruises, “We only considered a select few agencies. At the end of day, we felt the Lou Hammond group had the capabilities, style and previous experience to make sure our new-builds will debut with great fanfare.”


SAN DIEGO—Fleishman-Hillard has been retained as agency-of-record for The Flagship Group, an integrated development company specializing in exclusive, environmentally sensitive residential and hospitality experiences. The Flagship Group is the developer of Punta Brava, a private golf and ocean club situated 65 miles south of San Diego featuring the first oceanfront course designed by Tiger Woods. First phases of Fleishman-Hillard’s communications strategy for The Flagship Group have included the announcement of its formation by founders Brady Oman, Red McCombs and Hal Jones, as well as pre-launch and launch activities for Punta Brava.


NEW YORK—5W Public Relations has added The Source magazine and Hip Hop star Pitbull to its entertainment division. 5WPR will provide strategic counsel, media relations and brand building for both clients. The Source is hip hop's longest running magazine and recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Pitbull, one of the most successful Latino artists in hip hop, has sold more than 600,000 copies sold of his debut album "M.I.A.M.I.: Money Is A Major Issue" in the United States.


NEW YORK—The Morris + King Company has been retained by [212] Media, a privately held venture development firm focused on building digital media ventures in partnership with major media company partners.


BOSTON—PerkettPR has added new clients including GiftGirl, Lotame, Marteleron, TeleMessage and Wavemark. The firm will provide traditional PR and social media marketing and customer communications campaigns.
