New public relations clients for Citigate Cunningham, French/West/Vaughan, KCSA, MWW, Capstrat, Tech Image, G.S. Schwartz, Alan Metrick, Coles Mareting Communications, R&J and FSR Ventures.

SAN FRANCISCO—Citigate Cunningham has added BigFix to its client portfolio, growing its footprint in the world of enterprise software and security PR. BigFix enables large-scale enterprises to continuously enforce IT security, IT policy compliance and system management on computers. Citigate Cunningham will be agency of record, handling corporate and product PR. “Citigate Cunningham takes a strategic approach to PR with a focus both on building brand and driving demand,” says David Appelbaum, vice president of marketing for BigFix.  “We wanted an agency with deep relationships and a track record in alternative media that would take an aggressive approach to our outreach efforts.”

RALEIGH, NC—French/West/Vaughan has been selected by Target Mobile, a wireless marketing company, to provide business development, public relations and sales consulting services. Target Mobile creates mobile text message marketing campaigns and FWV is helping the firm get properly positioned to target national brands, primarily through their marketing agencies.

NEW YORK—Linkstorm, an interactive marketing technology company, has selected KCSA Worldwide as its public relations agency of record to position, launch and market a new system for online advertising. According to David Sidman, CEO and founder of Linkstorm: “As online consumers begin to exhibit signs of advertising fatigue, we hope to provide brand marketers and advertising agencies with the tools to give their online presence a face-lift and also help to create a dynamic, new experience on their websites. KCSA has the credentials and client experience to help us accelerate that process.”

SAN FRANCISCO—MWW Group has added Amphire Solutions to its client roster. Amphire Solutions is a leading software-as-a-service provider of e-commerce solutions for the foodservice industry and institutional supply chains, with over 100,000 operator users, 175 distributors and 700 suppliers in its community. MWW Group will work Amphire Solutions to increase brand awareness and expand the company’s communications reach within the foodservice community. Activities will include media and analyst relations.

RALEIGH—Strategic communications firm Capstrat has been named agency of record for HemCon Medical Technologies, a leading provider of hemostatic bandages and maker of the HemCon Bandage. Capstrat will provide strategic communications counsel, including public relations and national media relations. “Capstrat’s expertise and proven track record with healthcare organizations will be invaluable to our company,” says John Morgan, HemCon president and CEO.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL—Tech Image has been named the public relations agency of record for RedPrairie Corporation, which synchronizes the movement of people and products across the supply chain. Tech Image will provide corporate positioning, media relations execution and messaging to help RedPrairie integrate recent business acquisitions and disseminate the company’s product strategy.

NEW YORK—G.S. Schwartz & Co. has been retained by two new online clients: ApplyWise, which provides an online college admissions counseling program helping college-bound juniors and seniors navigate the college admissions process; and iKobo, , which provides fast, safe and economical money transfer by allowing consumers to send money online worldwide.

NEW YORK—Alan Metrick Communications has been retained by New York City Performing Arts Spaces for public relations counsel and for help promoting a coming report on the effect of real estate prices on the city’s arts community.

INDIANAPOLIS—Coles Marketing Communications has added two new clients to its roster: Obeo, a national company based in Salt Lake City, and a leading supplier of full-service residential real estate online marketing products; and the Stratford Companies, a developer, marketer and operator of senior housing campuses and communities with its corporate headquarters located in Indianapolis.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ—Vision Research, a leading manufacturer of high-speed digital imaging systems, selected R&J Public Relations to expand marketplace awareness of the company’s broadening product line of high-speed digital cameras. In addition, the firm has been hired by Kepner-Tregoe, a global consulting and training services firm, to provide brand-building communications and visibility; and RTcom USA , which retained R&J to promote RTcom’s range of high-definition digital broadcast and consumer audio and video products.  

CAPE CORAL, FL—FSR Ventures has expanded its travel and tourism division with the addition of, a leading online travel insurance comparison site, and TourTech Systems, a 30-year travel technology company. FSR Ventures will conduct media relations and provide strategic counsel, prepare media messaging, and other public relations services for both. For, the firm will focus on the travel agent community and consumers; for TourTech Systems’ it will concentrate on travel suppliers.
