New business for G.S. Schwartz, Lippert Heilshorn, JohnstonWells, Morris + King, Mark Allen, LVM and JS2.

NEW YORK—G.S. Schwartz & Co. has been retained by the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association to handle its public relations. The firm has significant trade association experience, including its ongoing work for the Toy Industry Association and its 10-year program for the Promotion Marketing Association. TEMIA’s mission is to promote the value of telecom expense management, enhance the category image through education and marketing and develop industry standards to augment overall service quality.

NEW YORK—Investor relations firm Lippert/Heilshorn & Associates has been retained by eight new clients: icad, a provider of computer-aided detection solutions for the early identification of cancer; KeyOn Communications Holdings, a provider of wireless broadband Internet connectivity; LaPolla Industries, a manufacturer and distributor of acrylic coatings, sealants, adhesives, and equipment; MIV Therapeutics, a developer of coatings and drug delivery systems for cardiovascular stents; MPC Corporation, a provider of enterprise IT hardware solutions ; Protalex, a biotechnology company engaged in the development of a new class of drugs for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis; Telanetix, a provider of video and voice communications services; and The Center for Wound Healing, which develops and manages hospital-based wound care centers.

DENVER—Infoture and MakeBeliever have selected JohnstonWells Public Relations to provide strategic counsel in two new product launches, as well as provide media and community relations support. Infoture is the developer of the LENA System, which identifies and analyzes adult words and child vocalizations, and provides parents with feedback reports on a child’s language environment and development. MakeBeliever Productions is a Denver-based multimedia company, which has retained JohnstonWells to develop a product launch strategy, scheduled for the holiday season. 

NEW YORK—The Morris + King Company has been retained by Apollo Circus of Soul. MKC will develop and execute a comprehensive public relations campaign to create buzz around the Circus of Soul, a new, unique, visually stunning urban circus. 

NEW YORK—Mark Allen & Company has been named agency of record for Barc, a leader in the African-American and Hispanic men’s grooming category. The firm will be handling both corporate and consumer media as well as analyst relations for Barc’s existing product lines as well as future product launches. In addition, Mark Allen & Company will assist Barc in developing communication materials for retailers as well as advertising and marketing materials.

NEW YORK—LVM Group has been chosen to represent The Olnick Organization, a New York real estate firm.

NEW YORK—JS2 Communications has added the Toy Insider, an annual guide to the hottest toys for the holiday season that will appear in the November issue of Redbook, to its roster of clients. The New York office of JS² Communications will handle all public relations activities for the 2007 holiday season.
