Cause-related marketing agency Interlex has been selected as the general market and multicultural agency of record for SafeLink Wireless, plus new business for Morris + King, DKC, Lane PR, FSR Ventures, 5W PR, and G.S. Schwartz.

SAN ANTONIO—Cause-related marketing agency Interlex has been selected as the general market and multicultural agency of record for TracFone Wireless’ latest business venture, SafeLink Wireless, a distribution of Lifeline, a U.S. government supported program that ensures telephone service is available and affordable for eligible low-income households. Interlex will handle advertising, public relations and partnership development and the public relations aspect of the campaign involves, general market, Hispanic and African American communications and media relations; gaining the support of government and nonprofit organizations and faith-based institutions who service low-income communities; celebrity identification and enrollment; and a government relations aspect including rallying national, state and local elected-officials around SafeLink Wireless.


NEW YORK—The Morris + King Company has been retained Renewal by Andersen, a leader in the window and patio door replacement industry. MKC will develop and execute a multi-tiered public relations campaign designed to publicize the opening of the Renewal by Andersen showroom in Farmingdale, NY, and introduce the brand to the greater Long Island, NY community while establishing it as the area’s go-to source for all window needs. The firm has also been hired by Dolphin Entertainment, an entertainment company specializing in children’s and young-adult live-action programming. MKC will develop and execute a comprehensive public relations campaign designed to elevate the company’s profile while generating attention for its entertainment properties and quality programming.


NEW YORK—Time Warner Cable of New York has hired DKC to implement a lifestyle and technology campaign focused around several new initiatives and products that will be rolled out across the New York metropolitan area over the next six months.


PORTLAND, OR—Lane PR has expanded its food and beverage portfolio with the addition of three clients: The Dussin Group, which owns and operates five restaurant concepts, including Blue Sage Café, Dussini Mediterranean Bistro, Fenouil, Lucier, and The Old Spaghetti Factory; RUI, Restaurants Unlimited, which manages 22 restaurants nationwide: and Yoshida’s Riverview Restaurant.


CAPE CORAL and SARASOTA, FL—Marketing communications and public relations firm FSR Ventures and its partner Wasabi Publicity have added Sarasota-based Fun Photo Technologies as a new client. FSR and Wasabi are spearheading a new product launch titled the Fun Photo CD, a mini-sized disc that allows users to share digital photos easily and creatively. The two firms are approaching holiday gift guide editors and targeting travel, baby and parenting, pet, general consumer, and wedding publications.

NEW YORK—G.S. Schwartz & Co. has been hired by Visible World, a pioneer in addressable TV advertising, as agency of record.
