SAN FRANCISCO—Allison & Partners has selected Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as its 2010-2011 national pro-bono client. Allison & Partners used its proprietary Cause Marketing Accelerator process, designed to create cause marketing partnerships that resonate with a corporation's core values, employees, clients and other stakeholders, to select Big Brothers Big Sisters as its national charity campaign beneficiary. The firm will support Big Brothers Big Sisters new national branding campaign, “Start Something,” which will re-introduce the organization by redefining mentoring in a more powerful way, positioning the organization as timely and relevant as well as illustrating why mentoring is so important and so deserving of funding.

CHICAGO—Zapwater Communications has been retained by Twilight Traffic Control, the entertainment development company behind Chicago sports bar Bull & Bear and the soon to be opened Public House. Zapwater will handle media relations, promotion development and unveiling logistics for Public House and will continue handling media relations for Bull & Bear and parent company Twilight Traffic Control.

NEW YORK—Parasol, a brand communications and marketing agency, has been retained to spearhead the U.S. and U.K. media relations campaigns for Hotel Arts Barcelona, a Ritz-Carlton hotel.
