SEATTLE—NCsoft West, a division of Korean online game powerhouse NCsoft, has appointed Hill+Knowlton Strategies as its North American agency of record. H+K Strategies has been leading media relations and supporting brand strategy for the release of Guild Wars 2. Following the Guild Wars 2 game launch on Tuesday, August 28, the agency will continue to support all of NCsoft West’s titles.

SAN MATEO—Edelman has been named PR agency of record for HootSuite, a company that has close to 5 million global users on its social media management system. Edelman will lead media relations and digital marketing products from its Silicon Valley office, driving sales of the company’s HootSuite enterprise version.

NEW YORK—DKC is representing entertainment mogul Robert F.X. Sillerman and his new venture in the electronic dance music industry. Sillerman has made two initial acquisitions, buying Disco Donnie Presents, the EDM promoter and industry leader; and Dayglow, the production and promotions company.

SAN DIEGO—San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has selected Gable PR to launch a comprehensive public relations and branding program for the opening and long-term promotion of La Jolla’s newest contemporary boutique hotel, Hotel La Jolla.

NEW YORK—5W Public Relations has added Aluminyze—a new way to see and display photos by infusing an image right into the body of a lightweight sheet of aluminum for exceptional image vibrancy—to its roster of consumer product clients. 5W will execute a campaign featuring media relations, celebrity seeding, product integrations, co-branded partnerships, and more.
