Jessica McCormick is joining APCO Worldwide as a senior associate in the financial communication practice; plus new people in new roles at Capstrat, JohnstonWells Public Relations, and Jones Public Affairs.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Jessica McCormick, former director of investor relations at Taylor Rafferty, is joining APCO Worldwide as a senior associate in the financial communication practice. At Taylor Rafferty, McCormick developed and executed financial communication and investor relations programs for clients across a broad range of industries. Prior to her work with Taylor Rafferty, McCormick served as an account supervisor for KCSA Worldwide and Citigate Financial Intelligence.


RALEIGH, NC—Andrew Meehan and Anna Marshall Gauss have joined the public affairs team at Capstrat as account director and account executive respectively, adding new media and grassroots coalition building expertise. Prior to joining Capstrat, Meehan was the manager of government affairs for the North Carolina Association of Electric Cooperatives. He has extensive experience mobilizing grassroots networks, creating message campaigns and lobbying before the N.C. General Assembly. Before Capstrat, Gauss was associate account executive at Ketchum in Washington, D.C.


DENVER—Breanna Deidel and Lee Bley have been promoted to counselor and senior associate respectively at JohnstonWells Public Relations. As a counselor, Deidel will continue to lead client account teams, including Bernina of America and Goodwill Industries of Denver, while also assisting with the firm’s business development and marketing efforts. As a senior associate, Bley will continue to be an intricate part of all client teams. She also will continue her role on the firm’s social media team.


WASHINGTON, D.C.Healthcare public relations firm Jones Public Affairs has hired Kathleen Wahlbin as a senior vice president. Wahlbin brings expertise in digital strategies and experience in engaging audiences and building strategic online communications programs aimed at reaching key stakeholders and influencers. Prior to joining JPA, Wahlbin served as a senior vice president of Virilion, where she led the account management practice and worked with clients such as Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, UNICEF and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
