GREENSBORO, September 7—Knoxville-based public relations firm Ackermann PR has entered into a strategic partnership with Coyne Beahm Marketing & Advertising, one of the largest advertising agencies in the Southeast. Under terms of the agreement, Ackermann will provide public relations service to existing Coyne Beahm clients and the two firms will cooperate on new business opportunities.

“For some time we have felt the need to add a strong public relations capability to our overall marketing and advertising services,” says Coyne Beahm president Roger Beahm. “We believe Ackermann PR brings the public relations experience, skills and depth of professional staff to round out a fully integrated communications offering.”

Ackermann, which recently announced the acquisition of a small firm in Dallas to expand its national reach, represents clients including Alcoa, Crossville Porcelain Stone, Dollywood, iPIX, Team Health, Comcast, Rohm & Haas.

Says Ackermann president Cathy Ackermann, “We see partnering as a very viable part of our growth strategy.” Coyne Beahm clients include R.J. Reynolds, Lowe’s and Thomasville Furniture.

At the same time, Ackermann has announced two new staff additions: Whitney Fair as human resource manager and Anne Yochim as account coordinator.
