LOS ANGELES—JS2 Communications has added Le Pain Quotidien bakery café to its food and beverage division, which includes Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Ford’s Filling Station, Grace, Omni Hotel’s signature restaurant collection, and the fine-dining restaurants at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, among others. JS² Communications will be responsible for national press outreach as well as media relations in the Los Angeles market, with specific focus on community relations. The account will be led out of the firm’s Los Angeles office. 

 

LOS ANGELES—Corona, Cal.-based Hansen Beverage Company has named CarryOn Communication as the agency of record for its Hansen’s Natural and Hansen’s Sparkling Refreshment product lines. CarryOn will draw on its big brand experience to maintain Hansen’s leadership position in the rapidly growing natural beverage category.  The agency will focus on driving consumer sales in Hansen’s core markets for the Sparkling Refreshment line while elevating awareness the umbrella brand among mass consumers.

 

MIAMIGolinHarris Florida has added five new accounts to its roster. The new clients include the Convenient Care Association; the American Cancer Society, Florida Division; Jackson Memorial Foundation’s philanthropic program International Kids Fund; and tobacco control and cessation advocate Alberta Cancer Board. In addition, the office recently led a project for the BBC’s Spanish American online and radio service, BBC Mundo. The work will be a combination of social marketing, media relations and minority outreach.

 

AUSTIN—Valence Technology, an international developer of safe lithium phosphate energy storage solutions, has hired Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications to develop and implement a strategic communications campaign designed to raise the profile of Valence’s brand and technology within target markets. LOS ANGELES—Display Boys, a leading full-service retail solutions specialist, has selected The Pollack PR Marketing Group following a competitive bid that included both boutique and multinational agencies. PPMG will develop strategies geared to creating a branded national corporate communications footprint for Display Boys to bolster the company’s growing position as a leading, full-service retail solutions specialist. The agency will also seek out speaking opportunities, events, conferences and awards.

 

LANCASTER, PA—Lime Street Studios PR and Principor Communications have been chosen by CyberPatrol to communicate the benefits of the company's safety software. In April 2008, CyberPatrol acquired CyberPatrol parental controls product from security vendor Websense. Former executives of PestPatrol, a provider of anti-spyware solutions, founded the newly-formed company. PestPatrol was acquired by Computer Associates in 2004, and Lime Street Studios and Principor teamed to provide public relations support that was part of PestPatrol's successful acquisition strategy. The agencies will provide messaging, marketing communications and public affairs services.

 

LOS ANGELES—¡Sorpresa!, America’s fastest growing Spanish-language children’s network, owned by Juniper Content Corporation, has selected Bob Gold & Associates as its public relations agency. The firm was chosen for its experience in the cable and telecommunications industry, according to Stuart Rekant, president and CEO of ¡Sorpresa!

 

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO—PowerMark, an Orange County marketing and public relations agency focused exclusively on technology companies, has been selected by five new clients: Electronic Evidence Discovery; Uniloc USA Inc.; and three unidentified Fortune 500 companies. Services for the new clients range from branding, public relations and product marketing to website development, email campaigns and collateral material development.
