NEW YORK—In addition to his current role as head of Chandler Chicco Companies, Bob Chandler has been named to an additional position as senior vice president, marketing and communications for parent company inVentiv Health. As part of his expanded responsibilities, Bob will lead a team of corporate communications professionals who will drive inVentiv’s internal and external marketing strategy and communications.

WASHINGTON, DC—Qorvis Communications has promoted 10, including Arthur Swift and Nicole Silverman to senior director. Swift, who joined Qorvis in October 2009, was previously chief of staff and director of research and policy for the lieutenant governor of New York. Silverman, who joined in November 2009, works with major companies, sovereign governments, industry coalitions and trade associations. Promoted to managing director are Cara Lombardi and Joseph Chapman. Promoted to director is Lindsay Hyman. Promoted to senior associate are Kaitlin Vignali, Michael Hutshneker, David Silverstein, Rebecca McGee and Kate Berenato.

NEW YORK—Edelman has appointed Tracey Gordon as executive vice president, senior strategist in its New York’s corporate and financial communications practice. Gordon was previously director of national media relations for Fidelity Investments, and ran communications at Morgan Stanley and ING Asset Management North America.

DALLAS—GolinHarris has appointed Amanda Borichevsky as vice president, based in Dallas and reporting to Ginger Porter, managing director of Texas and Holly Gillentine, senior vice president. She will primarily focus her efforts on the agency’s national PetSmart account, but also will lend her counsel to other consumer clients. She joins GolinHarris from JCPenney, where she served as senior manager of the company’s brand publicity team.

KANSAS CITY—Fleishman-Hillard has promoted Kara Hendon, the current deputy general manager of the firm’s Kansas City office, to general manager. Betsey Solberg, the current general manager, will remain with Fleishman-Hillard as an executive consultant and will continue to hold office in the Kansas City location. Hendon has been with Fleishman-Hillard for more than 13 years, and has also led the food and agribusiness division, which more recently has expanded to include nutrition communications programs.

NEW YORK—MWW Group has named Stephanie Sutton as a vice president in its corporate affairs practice. Sutton's experience includes work as a top national fundraiser for Hillary Clinton's 2008 Presidential campaign, as well as New York finance director for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). In her new role at MWW, she will report to president and CEO Michael Kempner and will help develop and lead influencer strategies for a number of MWW Group clients.

PITTSBURGH—WordWrite Communications has added an office in Tempe, Ariz., staffed by agency veteran John Durante. Durante, marketing services director for WordWrite, has also worked for Frank N. Magid Associates, as vice president for a healthcare system in Des Moines, and at The Fitting Group in Pittsburgh.

SAN DIEGO—Allison & Partners has hired Christopher Roe as the general manager of its San Diego office. Roe joins from strategic consulting and design firm Hellmuth Obata + Kassabaum, where he was strategic director of business development, marketing and PR. His experience includes creating and managing branding, public relations and investor relations initiatives for companies that include Boeing, Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods, BMW North America, Wynn Resorts, Microsoft, Nike and Alaska Airlines.

NEW YORK—Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations has added Keri Firstenberg Prestia as vice president. She joins NJFPR from Harrison & Shriftman where she spent five years overseeing the lifestyle and travel team, and spearheading a number of luxury accounts. Previously she spent five years at Middleton & Gendron where she led the publicity efforts for many lifestyle and hospitality clients.
