WASHINGTON DC—Levick Strategic Communications has promoted senior vice president Jason Maloni to chair the firm’s litigation practice. Since joining Levick six years ago, Maloni has worked on litigation engagements involving Microsoft, Roger Clemens, Hooters Restaurants, Bayer, and the Recording Industry Association of America. He also manages Levick’s sport and entertainment team.

TORONTO—Canadian public relations giant National PR has named six new partners: Peter Block, who has helped to build the firm’s financial communications practice; Martin Daraiche, leader in the Quebec City office; Paul de la Plante, also a leader in the national financial communications; Hugo Delorme, who has established the government relations practice in the Montreal office; Emma Kenny, of the firm’s Axon medical communications unit; and Paul Wilson, head of the corporate communications practice in the Montreal office.

WASHINGTON, DC— Christina Saull has joined the public affairs team at Widmeyer Communications as a senior account manager. She had been at Cancer Action Network, the advocacy affiliate to the American Cancer Society, and earlier worked with then-Senator George Voinovich of Ohio on constituent services and as press secretary for Representative John Sullivan of Oklahoma. In addition,
Julia Gotwald joined as account executive in the public affairs practice and Brad Rizza was named senior account executive in the higher education practice.

WASHINGTON, DC—Levick Strategic Communications has hired Rick Lavoie as senior vice president of its social and digital media team. Prior to joining Levick, Lavoie was president and chief engagement officer of Ruckus, where he created and implemented social media and digital strategy programs on behalf of such clients as HBO, Sam Goody, Kraft, Home Depot, Chase, and Duracell. Earlier, he was senior account director of Critical Mass/Omnicom and creative digital director at Ryan Partnership.

MIAMI—rbb Public Relations has promoted Sandra Fine (pictured) to vice president. Since joining rbb in 2005 as a senior account executive, Fine has been promoted twice, most recently serving as an account director. She has worked with clients including Florida Power & Light Company, Duncan Hines and the American Council on Exercise.

NASHVILLE, TN—McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations has promoted Brooks Harper to art director. He previously was a graphic designer. For the past five years, Harper has worked on a variety of Web and print projects for MP&F clients. Before joining MP&F, he worked for HealthStream, a healthcare education company based in Nashville.
