New people in new roles at GolinHarris, Carmichael Lynch Spong, Calypso Communications.

LOS ANGELES—GolinHarris has appointed Kristen Berry-Owen (pictured) as director of research and analytics for its West Coast offices. Berry-Owen will join the agency’s strategist community and will be responsible for leading and managing primary and secondary research initiatives for clients in the consumer goods, food and beverage, automotive, technology and healthcare industries. Most recently, she served as director of creative research at market research and consulting firm, TideWatch Partners.

MINNEAPOLIS—Carmichael Lynch Spong has named Serena Tesler director of media relations. Based in the firm’s New York office, she will lead media relations staff in New York and Minneapolis. Before joining CLS, she spent nine years at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, most recently as vice president, senior media strategist. In addition, Brian Anderson has been promoted from counselor to senior counselor, responsible for client work on the American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning, Rapala and Thermos accounts.

PORTSMOUTH, NH—Calypso Communications has hired Junito “JB” Bermudez as digital engineer, a new position. He has relocated from Rochester, NY, where he worked as the in-house interactive developer for two years at Roberts Communications, working on web development, SEO projects, and email campaigns for clients including Xerox, and MasterCard. Calypso also promoted Caitlin Evvard to its digital media strategist on its public relations team.
