He will be the senior crisis and issues management strategist for a number of the agency's corporate and consumer clients in the Midwest, and will be responsible for developing and building the office's crisis communications capabilities. Most recently, he was corporate practice lead and chief operating officer at Henson Consulting where he built the firm's corporate reputation offering.

De León brings experience in consumer marketing, technology and sports and entertainment communications. Prior to joining Allison & Partners, de León served as vice president in Ketchum’s brand marketing group, where he helped lead strategic and creative development for one of the agency’s largest accounts, Eastman Kodak.

WASHINGTON, DC—Christal Goetz has joined APCO Worldwide as a senior vice president and member of the leadership team of the firm’s global online and creative practice. Goetz worked for the past nine years at prominent social media marketing firm New Media Strategies, where she built and led the firm’s corporate practice, serving as the strategic account lead for clients including PepsiCo, Nestle and Chrysler.

Davis joins from Discovery Communications, where she developed digital and brand strategies across Discovery's US networks. Her background also includes building and managing HSN.com's digital marketing team, working at several technology start-ups, and consulting in Accenture's communications and technology practices.

WASHINGTON, DC—Jones Public Affairs has added Tracy Blinder-Gurrisi as an account director in its Boston office. Blinder-Gurrisi brings more than seven years of public relations experience and most recently served as a group manager at New York City-based Lippe Taylor, where she oversaw the health division and worked with clients including the clinical diagnostic company Qiagen, medical and aesthetic laser specialist Lumenis, and consumer health company Combe.
