NEW YORK—Burson-Marsteller has hired Brett Pulley as a senior advisor. Pulley is the dean of the Scripps Howard School of Journalism & Communications at Hampton University, a 147-year-old historically black university in southeastern Virginia. Before joining the university in 2012, Pulley spent three years covering the media and entertainment industries at Bloomberg, the global information services, news and digital media company. She was previously a senior editor at Forbes.

CHICAGO—Former producer and talent booker for ABC’s Windy City Live Emerald-Jane Hunter (pictured) has joined Henson Consulting as director of media and content development. In her new role, Hunter will be providing strategic counsel and support for more than 40 HC clients in the consumer packaged goods, hospitality, entertainment, corporate, technology and education categories.

NEW YORK—Nancy Goldstein has joined Ogilvy Public Relations as a vice president in the corporate practice and account lead for the agency’s 3D printing client. She will also lead teams servicing the fashion insights and forecasting company WGSN; and she will be a part of the North America team serving global books of business. Previously, Goldstein spent more than nine years at global public relations agency Burson-Marsteller in its New York corporate and financial practice.

CHICAGO—FoodMinds has hired registered dietitian Jackie Schulz. She joins FoodMinds from Kraft Foods Group, where she managed a team within the nutrition and regulatory affairs group responsible for the meals and desserts categories. Prior to joining Kraft, Schulz held roles at Nestlé, Kellogg’s Specialty Channels and Barilla America.

SOUTHFIELD, MI—Airfoil has appointed Jon Gunnells as social and digital media manager, responsible for ensuring that social and digital strategies are embedded in account teams and client programs across the agency. Previously, Gunnells was a manager at Digitas LBI, where he managed the social channels for General Motors. He has also worked for Little Caesars as social media manager, and Lowe Campbell Ewald as a social media analyst.


WASHINGTON, DC—JPA Health Communications has added Patrick Brady as a senior vice president in its Washington, DC, office. He joins JPA from Stanton Communications where he was a managing director and led the firm’s public affairs practice.

BOSTON—LaVoieHealthScience, an integrated strategic communications agency, has promoted David Connolly to senior vice president, client services, and appointed Ron Aldridge as account director, investor relations, and Lindsay LeCain as account supervisor, public relations. Connolly joined LHS in 2012 as vice president of public relations after serving as director of communications and marketing at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Aldridge was previously director of investor relations at WuXi PharmaTech; LeCain joins from Racepoint Global.
