New people in new roles at Makovsky & Co, Insidedge, APCO Worldwide and Bromley.

NEW YORK—Makovsky + Company has added two team members to its health practice: Elaine Andrecovich, account supervisor, and Arielle Bernstein, vice president. Along with extensive oncology sector experience, both bring unique insight into advocacy relations, and the use of targeted communications to reach health professionals, patients, analysts and policy makers. Bernstein, who is research manager for the University of Chicago’s Biological Sciences Division, brings experience in health economics and oncology. Andrecovich brings five years of experience in healthcare PR and communications strategy.

CHICAGO—Insidedge, the employee communications consultancy that operates as part of Interpublic Group’s GolinHarris, has promoted Matt West (pictured) to senior vice president. West recently earned the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance credential from the American Society for Training & Development. Based in the agency's Chicago office, West will lead key client engagements and play an expanded role in the firm’s continuing growth and development.

WASHINGTON, DC—Christal Goetz joins APCO Worldwide as a senior vice president and member of the leadership team of the firm’s global online and creative practice. Goetz spent the past nine years at social media marketing firm New Media Strategies, where she built and led the corporate practice, managing several of the firm’s highest-profile clients including PepsiCo, Nestle and Chrysler. Earlier in her career, Goetz worked as a marketer for nonprofit women’s health organizations.

SAN ANTONIO—Bromley Communications has added Nelda Carrizales to its public relations department. Carrizales has practiced public relations for more than 15 years, 10 of them as an independent consultant. Her client experience, including her previous tenure at Bromley, includes work in the automotive sector, financial/banking, non-profits, packaged goods, political/public affairs, telecommunications, and retail for clients such as the National Pork Board, Susan G. Komen, MillerCoors and United Healthcare.
