DALLAS and LOS ANGELES—Hill+Knowlton Strategies has hired two new vice presidents: Mark Edgar, an award-winning Texas journalist who most recently served as a deputy managing editor of The Dallas Morning News, will join the firm’s Dallas office; Larry Krutchik, most recently was a firm partner at Allison+Partners, joins in Los Angeles.

NEW YORK—Porter Novelli has hired Catherine Fink (pictured) as executive vice president, health and wellness. Fink joins Porter Novelli from Feinstein Kean Healthcare, where she served as senior vice president and patient engagement lead.In 1996, Fink co-founded The Eden Communications Group, a healthcare agency that pioneered patient education and advocacy and has worked with clients including Boehringer Ingelheim, CancerCare and the ReThink Health Initiative.

DES MOINES, IA—Hanser & Associates has named C. Ryan Hanser as president and principal; he has been senior vice president since 1999. Ronald Hanser has become chairman and principal; he has been president and principal since 1996. He will remain available, as needed, to counsel the firm’s clients. Bonnie Hanser, chief operating officer and principal since 1996, will retire December 31, 2015.
