SAN FRANCISCO—Fenton, a communications firm focused on social change, has named Sandy Skees (pictured) managing director of its West Coast offices. In addition, Erin Hart is returning to the firm as chief client officer, based in San Francisco, and Zack Langway joins the Washington, DC, office as vice president, digital. Skees previously ran her own firm, Communications4Good, and was a partner at Porter Novelli. Hart returns after most recently building the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation’s communications department. Langway previously directed online organizing and national campaigns for the Center for Community Change.

LOS ANGELES—Way To Blue has promoted Marc Berry Reid to chief operating officer and Daniel Heale to chief client officer. They will join founder Olly Swanton, CEO Adam Rubins, and chief financial officer Otto Stevens on Way To Blue's board of directors. Heale, previously associate director, will have managerial responsibility for client servicing, new product development and marketing; Berry Reid, previously European associate director, will take overall responsibility for operations across Way To Blue's operating territories.

CAMBRIDGE, MA—Life sciences specialist Pure Communications has appointed Mike Huckman, an award-winning journalist and former CNBC pharmaceuticals and medical technology reporter, as chief strategist. Huckman will lead presentation, media and roadshow skills development sessions for clients, and provide counsel on story development, investor relations and media strategy, issues management and crisis communications. He joins the firm from MSLGroup, where he served as senior vice president, director of media strategy.
