Waggener Edstrom hires Herman, Chiemingo and Janashvili, plus new hires at Cohn & Wolfe and Widmeyer.

SEATTLE—Waggener Edstrom Worldwide has made a series of senior hires to support growth across agency practices. Michelle Herman, most recently head of her own firm and previously a senior managing director with SparkPR, has joined as senior vice president in the technology practice and general manager of the agency’s San Francisco office. Greg Chiemingo has joined from Corbis as a vice president, based in Seattle, and will drive consumer campaigns on WE’s Microsoft account. And Lev Janashvili has joined from Ruder Finn as vice president in the corporate communications practice, based in New York.

NEW YORK—Cohn & Wolfe has hired Hayley Soffer as executive vice president and managing director of its New York healthcare practice, with responsibility for managing all aspects of the practice including client service, operations, talent development and new business. She joins Cohn & Wolfe from Publicis Consultants | PR where she served most recently as managing director of the New York office and as healthcare practice director. She has also worked at Porter Novelli and Makovsky & Company.

NEW YORK—Katherine Bibb Hubbard, a former executive at Scholastic, Inc., and most recently director of Innovation America, has joined Widmeyer Communications as vice president in the firm’s PreK-12 education practice. Hubbard will be based in Widmeyer’s New York operation and will focus business development efforts around education, philanthropy and corporate social responsibility.
