CALGARY—Hill & Knowlton Canada has promoted Ken Boessenkool, previously vice president and general manager of its Alberta office, to senior vice president and national practice director, public affairs. He will now join the firm’s senior management team, the priorities and operations committee, as its Western Canadian representative. Jane Savidant, founder of Result (now H&K Result), will become general manager of the Alberta offices in Calgary and Edmonton. Tonie Chaltas, who has been managing the dual responsibilities of national practice director, public affairs and chief integration officer, will now be able to focus exclusively on continuing her role as integration officer, responsible for continually driving attention and execution on the firm’s “best teams” philosophy.
KANSAS CITY—Barkley Public Relations has hired Tracey Beeker as account director. She will lead the agency’s Sonic Drive-In account and will report to Jeff Risely, VP. Beeker formerly served as VP, Corporate Partnerships at The American Legacy Foundation, where she guided a multitude of marketing efforts including cause marketing, fundraising and national media relations. Prior to The American Legacy Foundation, Beeker held positions as VP, global licensing at Discovery Communications and VP, cause marketing and licensing at Public Broadcasting Service.
CHAPEL, HILL, NC—Koroberi, a full-service business-to-business integrated marketing agency, has named Anne Hainsworth director of public relationsm, responsible for creating and implementing PR campaigns for Koroberi and its clients, and managing the agency’s PR account team. Prior to joining Koroberi, Hainsworth worked as an account supervisor for Fleishman-Hillard in both Washington, D.C. and Raleigh, where she managed accounts for clients in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and high-tech industries. Hainsworth has also worked on Capitol Hill and as an analyst for America’s Health Insurance Plans.
LOS ANGELES—JS² Communications has hired Suzanne Goldstyn as vice president in its Los Angeles office. In her new role, Goldstyn will help expand JS2’s client base as well as support the needs of current accounts including Pacific/ArcLight Theatres and Harry & David. Most recently, she worked as an independent consultant and spent more than three and a half years managing southern California PR for the leading national smoothie chain, Jamba Juice.
