NEW YORK—M Booth & Associates has named Shira Zackai as broadcast director. She will work across all agency accounts guiding clients through their multi-faceted media engagement efforts, reporting to media director Martha Cid. Previously, Zackai worked at Steinreich Communications, asset management firm Alliance Bernstein, and at Hill & Knowlton. ST. LOUIS—Fleishman-Hillard has promoted four senior leaders to executive vice president: Jonella Donius, senior partner and chief information officer; Dick Mullinax, senior partner and general manager of the firm’s Dallas office; Shawn Ramsey, a senior partner who is a senior leader on the firm’s work for client AT&T; and Joanne Wong, senior partner and managing director of client service for Asia Pacific. MINNEAPOLIS—Padilla Speer Beardsley has hired Curtis Smith (pictured) to lead business development and marketing for the firm. Smith is responsible for cultivating new business and also leads Padilla’s internal marketing team. Smith has nearly 15 years of marketing and business development experience at public relations agencies including Fleishman-Hillard and Weber Shandwick. Before joining Padilla, he served as director of business development at the advertising agency of Carmichael Lynch and its public relations group Carmichael Lynch Spong. TUSTIN, CA—HKA Public Relations has hired Nick Kopinga as senior public relations specialist. He will provide strategic direction and day-to-day management for the agency’s roster of business-to-business, consumer and nonprofit clients.
