WASHINGTON, DC—FleishmanHillard has appointed Kris Balderston to the role of president, global public affairs and strategic engagement and named Robert Hoopes general manager of FH Washington, DC., in addition to his duties as president of VOX Global. Balderston has been the GM of Fleishman's DC office since February 2013. Before joining FH, he served as special representative for global partnerships under Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. In 2007, FleishmanHillard acquired Hoopes Strategies and appointed Hoopes president of VOX Global. 

TORONTO—Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada has added Mohamed Dhanani as vice-president in its public affairs group, with Emmanuel (Manny) Morin , Gabe De Roche and Luca Bucci joining as senior account director, account director and senior consultant respectively. Dhanani most recently served at His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan Shia Imami Council for Canada, where he worked with all three levels of government and as a volunteer member of Mayor John Tory's Transition Advisory Council. He has held senior advisor roles within Queen's Park.

RALEIGH, NC—French/West/Vaughan has added Angela DeRusha, a 23-year brand marketing veteran, as vice president of advertising services. In addition, Brad Grantham, formerly a senior communications executive with Zehnder, joins as associate vice president; Corey Adams joins as creative producer; Clay Hanback and Megan Byers join as senior account executives; Maggie McDonald as account supervisor; and Erin McGuire as an account executive

ORLANDO, FL—Uproar PR, a full-service public relations and social media firm with locations in Chicago and Toronto, has promoted Ashley Moore from account director to vice president. Moore joined the Uproar PR team in 2013.

NEW YORK—Alison Mazzola Communications, a boutique public relations and special events agency, has appointed Alana Tabacco as vice president of events. Tabacco has returned to AMC after several years managing marketing and special events for leading digital advertising company Vibrant Media. She managed Vibrant Media’s annual activation at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in Cannes, France among other events.
